For our Business Partner with Scandinavian capital and many years of experience in the industrial sector, known for high-quality products and a stable market position, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

GROUP PRODUCT COMPLIANCE LEADER

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and keep yourself updated when it comes to regulatory requirements related to chemical substances in components, including sanctions and other legislations based on content in purchased goods, such as CBAM. Main focus is European legislation but customer requirements might drive a need for compliance with e.g. US legislation as well (REACH, SCIP, RoHS, 3TG, EU Ship recycling regulation & TSCA).
  • Based on changes in above mentioned regulations, prepare and present information / decision material for management.
  • Define / specify needed tools to allow for a cost efficient administration.
  • Propose and develop way of working when it comes to structuring and reporting of data, both short term but also in a wider perspective covering e.g. future S2S solutions for our global operations.
  • Interact with company supplier base to secure needed compliance data.
  • Provide SCIP notifications to ECHA on both single items and complex objects.
  • Responsible for leading the compliance team, including but not limited to coordination and prioritization or work tasks, annual appraisals and holiday planning.
  • Consolidate compliance certificates on both items and complex objects to support both internal sales and external customers.
  • Working autonomously in the field including decision making.
  • Support company operation with information / education in chemical regulatory questions.
  • Support local company sits with MDS reporting in both IMDS and CDX.

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge within Material Science.
  • Experience from reading and analyzing legal documents – the ability to understand and evaluate chemicals related legislation.
  • Knowledge within chemical regulations and directive.
  • Fluent in English (both in writing and verbally).
  • Comfortable reading / interpret legal texts and regulations.
  • Proficient with computer relational databases and common business-related software (e.g. Excel).
  • Experienced in capturing, interpreting and manipulating data and databases.
  • Detail orientated and results driven.
  • Structured, accurate with an ability to see the big picture.
  • Self-motivated.
  • You find missing tools and structures as a potential for development rather than a roadblock.
  • People management skills.
