Role:

In your role as a Strategic purchaser, you develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure the procurement of goods aligns with the organization’s overall business strategy. Identify and evaluate the potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities, stability, and performance.

• Analyse cost and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, work closely with suppliers to establish cost initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms such as pricing, payment term, delivery time etc. To optimize terms and conditions through continuous negotiation.
• Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators and present to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including with operations, quality, production, sustainability etc.
• Be part of NPI and other Development projects and support other teams with Sourcing tasks/issues.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a supplier portfolio within category.
• Identify suitable suppliers and maintain a robust supplier base for required materials and components.
• Drive cost reduction, find new suppliers and make cost evaluations on supplier portfolio and process improvement projects.
• Negotiate prices and update pricelist in company ERP and Suppliers pricelist.
• Make and update agreements with suppliers in category.
• Plan and conduct reoccurring follow up meetings with A and B suppliers both at company and on site at supplier.
• Main responsible for purchasing parameters on articles and suppliers.
• When changing supplier, purchase samples and first serial produced parts with approval from quality department before transfer to respective Operative Purchaser.
• Handle Invoices on 0 series, tooling’s, and other production related costs.
• Monthly report on stated category.
• Follow up quality and delivery performance monthly.
• Close cooperation with the Head of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement.

Requirements:

• Education: Master’s or bachelor’s degree or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing company.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Good at MS Office package.
• Knowledge & Skills: You are business minded and understand the drivers behind the figures. Know how to navigate and achieve results in an international matrix environment. You understand the importance of achieving results, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high quality in your work.
• Personal qualities: Strategic purchasers need to be good communicators and relationship builders to get both internal and external key stakeholders to pull in the same direction. Responsiveness to needs, flexibility, ability to cooperate and a problem-solving attitude are personal qualities that are highly valued.
