For our Business Partner with Scandinavian capital, who has been successfully operating on the international market for almost 80 years – one of the world’s largest elevator manufacturers, selling and distributing in over 70 countries, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

INSTALLATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN / ENGINNER

 

Place of work: Gdańsk: frequent trips to Europe, occasionally to Asia and the USA

Role:

The Installation Support Technician will be a key element of the company’s centralized technical center in Poland, providing hands-on installation support and technical assistance to installation teams across Europe and other markets.

The role combines on-site physical installation work, remote troubleshooting, testing, and technical documentation, ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It also plays a key role in product improvement and feedback to R&D.

Position will be based in Gdansk with frequent travel within Europe and occasionally other markets. Combination of on-site installation work and remote support. Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Product Management, and Technical Support.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on installation support for elevators and related components in multiple countries to ensure smooth installation (short-term implementations).
  • Assist with product launches and pilot installations of new models and retrofits.
  • Remote installation support via telephone, video, and digital tools.
  • Training and briefing of local installation teams on best practices, tools, and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting technical installation issues, escalating to engineering as needed.
  • Documenting common installation issues to improve instructions and training materials.
  • Participating in the development of troubleshooting guides and complaint handling procedures.
  • Supporting field testing of new components and installation methods.
  • Representing the company’s installation standards and safety culture with customers.
  • Evaluating the installability and serviceability of new products.
  • Testing prototype elevators and components from various suppliers.
  • Conducting product training for technical support on new elevator models and components.
  • Evaluation and testing of products developed by international teams in China, the USA, and Europe.
  • Testing new materials during design changes to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Close collaboration with Technical Support, Production Management, and R&D

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (position name Technician or Engineer consistent with experience, education and qualifications).
  • Ability to work independently and travel internationally.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in installation of technical equipment (preferably elevators or similar).
  • Demonstrable experience in testing, evaluation, and installation of technical equipment, preferably elevators. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology and market trends.
  • English (required), Polish (desired), German (desired)
  • Driving license (B).
  • Practical, hands-on mindset with a structured way of working.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability in diverse environments.
  • Safety-conscious, reliable, and committed to quality.
  • Analytical, technically curious, and cooperative.
  • Workshop experience beneficial for testing lifts in a laboratory environment.
