For our Business Partner with Scandinavian capital, who has been successfully operating on the international market for almost 80 years – one of the world’s largest elevator manufacturers, selling and distributing in over 70 countries, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

PRODUCTION ENGINEER / LEAN MANUFACTURING ENGINEER – new Factory

Role:

The Production Engineer plays a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position requires both strong theoretical knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, and/or Kaizen methodologies or similar, as well as the ability to implement improvements directly on the shop floor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lean & Continuous Improvement
    Apply Lean principles to identify and eliminate waste in production processes.
    Drive 5S implementation and maintain workplace organization standards.
    Initiate and execute Kaizen activities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Practical Execution
    Work hands-on in production to implement process changes and improvements.
    Support production teams in troubleshooting and optimizing workflows.
    Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all activities.
  • Collaboration & Training
    Cooperate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering) to achieve production goals.
    Train and coach operators on Lean tools and best practices.
    Act as a role model for continuous improvement culture.
  • Cooperation with the immediate superior, the Production Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Technical education or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Kaizen principles.
  • Practical experience in production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead improvement initiatives and engage team members.
  • Hands-on mindset with willingness to work on the shop floor.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Work in a new factory in Gdańsk with Swedish capital (Matarnia district) – work in a professional and experienced team (long-term cooperation, opening of the second factory location in Poland).
  • Stable employment based on an employment contract in an international work environment with development prospects and a friendly atmosphere
  • Flexible working hours, possibility to start work between 7.00-9.00 – focused on office work (standard: four days a week on-site and one day from home – with the requirement of at least one team member being in the office at all times).
  • Salary commensurate with the candidate’s knowledge and experience.
  • Trips to Sweden occasionally, usually no more than three times a year, depending on the team’s needs.
