For our Business Partner with German capital with over 50 years of experience in boat building and a passion for constantly redefining sailing, producing exclusive sailing yachts with state-of-the-art technology, award-winning design and perfect workmanship, operating worldwide, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

TECHNICAL OFFICE ENGINEER, LEAD THE DESIGN OF ONBOARD SYSTEMS – SAILING YACHT SHIPYARD

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of onboard systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical), creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with SolidWorks.
  • Support the design and engineering of yacht structures and composite components.
  • Support the design and engineering of deck plans, including all sailing and non-sailing equipment layout.
  • Prepare, review, and validate construction drawings and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with certification standards (RINA, CE).
  • Provide technical support during production phases in the shipyard.

 

 Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in the nautical/marine industry, with a strong background in onboard systems design.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred – the employer may finance the program if you do not know the program.
  • Very good command of English (working language).
  • German is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and comply with certification standards.
  • Degree in Naval, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and team spirit.
  • Knowledge of composite structures and production methods is a plus.
  • Being a sailor is a plus.
